Changxin Storages DRAM share will reach 10%, reshaping the memory landscape

According to semiconductor industry reports, Changxin Storage's DRAM market share, which was only 5% in 2024, is expected to soar to 10% this year. It is expected to compete with Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and Micron to form a "four party system".

TrendForce predicts that the market share of Chinese enterprises in the global DRAM market will reach double digits for the first time, increasing from 6.0% in the third quarter of 2024 to 10.1% in the third quarter of 2025.

Considering the low yield (genuine product ratio) of Changxin Storage, it is expected that its share in wafer production capacity will be higher.

TrendForce Consulting stated that the monthly production capacity of silicon wafers in the fourth quarter of 2025 was 15.4%, an increase of 3.6 percentage points from the fourth quarter of 2024 (11.8%), which is similar to Micron's (17.4%).

At the end of last year, the company began mass production of DDR5 using 16nm technology, and is expected to increase its market share in DDR5 starting this year.
